This candle is orange for the color of the Multiple Sclerosis ribbon. The butterfly on top represents MS and all the different ways it can present itself in every single person. A portion of the profits from this candle will go to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
The National MS Society is an almost endless resource for people who have been diagnosed with MS or their families. They contribute to research to help cure, slow, or prevent further damage for people diagnosed with MS, as well as advocate for them to be treated fairly and not discriminated against. The National MS Society provides education on a disease that is so different from person to person. They also collaborate with other MS organizations around the world and provide services and programs to people with MS. Those services can include things like financial assistance to providing free cooling vests (heat intolerance is a widely experienced symptom, personally it feels like my brain is melting if I start getting too hot). You can learn more about the National Multiple Sclerosis Society here.
After being diagnosed with MS, and the time leading up to getting the actual diagnosis, the National MS Society had any and all information I could possibly want. When it came time to figuring out which treatment option I wanted to pursue, I was fully prepared and educated on which courses I would prefer because I was able to easily search, learn, and educate myself on the 20 different options. This charity candle is something very close to me, and I hope everyone loves the scent to donate to a great organization.
